The arm swivels smoothly and holds its angle perfectly, so I can aim the light exactly where I need it by the sofa. The opal glass gives off a soft, even glow that doesn't strain the eyes when reading. Took me ten minutes to mount, and it looks far more expensive than it cost.

The satin black finish is exactly as pictured—matte without being dull—and the metal arm feels solid against the wall. It casts a warm, even glow that’s perfect for reading in our living room corner, though the shade is a bit smaller than I expected for the size of the lamp.

Installed this in my hallway and the satin black arm really makes the opal shade pop against a white wall. The light it gives off is perfectly diffused without any harsh glare.
